Our Little Peanut

Well, I went to my first doctor visit yesterday at almost the end of my 1st trimester, which means our baby is probably a lot bigger than most people's first ultrasound pics - it's size/limbs actually took the nurse and doctor by surprise at first!  My favorite is the second picture down, it's the 4-D clay looking picture and it's just so amazing to see real arms and legs!  It(he*) was a total  wiggler!  The doctor was having a hard time getting a clear picture because it was moving so much.
That was when it felt SO real.  I think that moment, watching a moving little baby with arms and legs, was the happiest I've been since we've been here :)  Unfortunately neither I nor Devin really knew what was going to be happening at this first appointment so we didn't think to have him skip work yesterday morning to come but he'll definitely be there to find out the gender on July 2nd!   Can't wait :)

*I just want to stop calling it "it".  I just feel like it is totally going to be a boy, so I just want to call it "he".  If I slip that in every once and a while, that's why :)   If it's a girl, we'll still be happy! Pin It
