All Things Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We've been doing lots of things to celebrate the past couple weeks leading up to Halloween:

Trunk or Treat

These were taken at our ward Trunk - or - Treat party.  I didn't get many more pictures but there were some great costumes there!   We wish T.O.T would have been after dark because our skeleton costumes glow in the dark!  We wish a lot of things about the trunk or treat actually...kind of made me homesick for the one I grew up going to!  No one really went all out here with their trunks and it was all over within about an hour.  Still nice to have an excuse to get dressed up and enough kids to get rid of our 195 piece bag of candy in 10 minutes!

Pumpkin Carving
We had a pumpkin carving/presidential debate watching party at the Pratchetts a couple weeks ago.  We knew we had to turn the green one into Frankenstein - Devin did a great job!  I did the orange one with the Tim Burton style nose. I thought everyone's turned out fantastic!

Decorations/Greetings
My mom sent me this table runner that she made, I love it!  Check out the cool spiderweb design on the back.  I can't wait to use this for years to come.  I also saw this ABC's of Halloween book at a bookstore that I just had to have because the illustrations are so colorful, whimsical, and perfectly Halloweeny.

We also made our traditional (okay, we've only done it once before) Halloween cards.  Shutterfly gave me a promo for 10 free cards and Halloween seemed like a fun way to use them.  But, because we only had 10, we pretty much just sent them to family (sorry!).  There is a fun little poem I put inside though, that I'd like to share to get you in the spooky spirit:

On Halloween the thing you must do,
is pretend that nothing can frighten you
If something is scary and you want to run,
just let on like it's Halloween fun!
