A Date in December

December started off with a bang as we got invited to make gingerbread houses with the Packards!  They're a couple in our ward that we've become good friends with and done a lot of fun activities with. 

I did the icing on the roof while Devin did the candy.   He did the icing on the house and I did the candy :)

 Little did I know, Devin can make some darn good icicles!  And here's the finished product:

 

We then continued our night of fun by going to a BYU activity called "Freeze Fest" at the 7 Peaks Ice Arena in Provo.

Devin tried to express how excited he was to be taking a picture with santa - this should probably be a christmas card picture. 

 

We got 3 really fun rounds of broomball in, our team winning every time :) We didn't even have anyone walk away with a bloody nose, just some bruised shins.

 

We ended the night with some ice skating!

Freeze Fest = $2.00 each

Having the best gingerbread house and watching lots of bumps and falls on the ice = priceless :)
